The last weekend of August in Belgrade marked the beginning of the fifth Bogdan Bogdanović basketball camp, which this year brought together over 60 talented boys and girls aged 12 to 15.

Practices, exhibition matches, motivational speeches, but also socializing and good energy, were part of the rich schedule on the courts of BC Dinamik, which created lifelong memories for the children and motivated them to continue playing basketball.

During the first day, the campers had the opportunity to talk with Bogdan Bogdanović, the founder of the camp and one of the best NBA players.
At the same time, experienced coaches worked with the children, helping them to master new skills thanks to which they will be able to make progress. The partner of the camp “adidas" brought special joy to the young basketball players, because everyone received new basketball shoes, the highest quality sports equipment, t-shirts and a ball.

Part of the program during the weekend was also a showcase game of players with special educational needs, members of the associations "Moj Red" and "Živimo zajedno" which organize help for basketball players with special needs.

Since the camp is focused not only on sports, but also on socializing and relaxing, various fun activities have been prepared for all participants, such as going to the cinema and a music program, headlined by DJ Lea Davogić, and friends of the camp Relja Popović and Stefan Cvijović Cvija.

My wish was to give the children the experience of a sports camp, where they can hang out, study, learn something new, as well as get top quality sports equipment. The rainy weather over the weekend derailed us a bit, we had to take a lot of care about Covid measures to keep the children safe, but despite that we managed to implement everything we had planned, with a great atmosphere. I would like to thank everyone who participated in the organization, as well as all the sponsors who supported our camp. We continue to work on the promotion of basketball, and on enabling as many children as possible to come closer to realizing their dreams – said Bogdanović.

Over the past five years, more than 200 children have gone through the BB camp, while in 2020, due to specific circumstances, the event was held in virtual form.
